Mobile Vet FAQ
WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW WHEN MAKING AN APPOINTMENT?
We are currently seeing appointments Monday through Friday, 9am-6pm. Because our hospital is a 26-foot specialty vehicle, we require adequate room to maneuver. If we cannot easily park near your home or business, we will need to make arrangements to meet elsewhere. Appointments are scheduled with a 30-minute arrival time window. Due to the nature of the appointment before yours or traffic, we may be early or late. We will make every effort to keep you informed.
WHAT SERVICES DO YOU PROVIDE?
Our state-of-the-art clinic is designed to provide a full range of services. Annual wellness exams and vaccinations, heartworm testing, feline leukemia and FID testing, fecal analysis, comprehensive ear evaluations, anesthesia, ultrasonic dental cleaning, general surgery, blood analysis, radiography (X-Rays), urinalysis, skin evaluations, and at-home euthanasia. Almost any service found in a land-based clinic can be performed on board.
WHAT SERVICES ARE NOT PROVIDED?
Situations that require hospitalization may be referred to a local or emergency clinic. Please contact us for more details.
DO YOU ONLY TREAT CATS AND DOGS?
Although cats and dogs are amazing, man can have many best friends. Dr. Kristie Plunkett also enjoys treating a wide array of species including: guinea pigs, gerbils, hamsters, mice, rats, rabbits, ferrets, chinchillas, sugar gliders, turtles, snakes, lizards and domestic/wild birds. Don’t hesitate to ask if you don’t see your pet listed!
WHAT IS OUR SERVICE AREA?
We proudly service the Greater Tulsa Area including Tulsa, Jenks, Bixby, Glenpool, Broken Arrow, Owasso, Sand Springs, Sapulpa, and Coweta. We are more than happy to travel outside of these areas if our schedule permits.
CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE EMERGENCY APPOINTMENTS?
We leave some time available each day to try to accommodate any emergency or same day needs that may arise. Please contact us if you have an emergency or need same day care and we can help determine the best option to treat your pet.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
We understand that emergencies happen, but please give a minimum of 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment if possible. You can call 918-528-7003 or email us at drkristie@mobilevetoftulsa.com.
DO YOU CHARGE MORE FOR BEING MOBILE?
We know that with unlimited resources, our clients would give their pets the very best of everything. Unfortunately, we live in the real world where many decisions are made with a budget in mind. We pride ourselves on providing the highest quality of care that is still affordable. Many of our clients find that our services cost that same or less than many brick-and-mortar veterinary hospitals. We always provide an upfront estimate, reviewing all treatment options to help you make the best decision for your pet.
WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?
We gladly accept Cash, Check, Visa, or Mastercard, as well as Care Credit. We require payment in full at the time services are rendered. Sorry, we do not offer a payment plan.
